“Without me knowing anything at all about stained glass, except that I love how beautiful it looks with the sun shining through it and how much I wanted a piece of my own, Jennifer guided me all the way through the process of developing an idea that is so personal and important to me that the stained glass piece she created is, without a doubt, my most prized possession. My father died a couple of years ago, and I’ve been looking for creative ways of immortalizing his memory in my everyday life. I have tattoos of flowers up and down my arms in honor of his lifetime dedication to being a florist. One of the flowers is a wilting stargazer lily he himself drew for me just before he died. Jennifer created an incredibly beautiful garden around that one concept. I was amazed at how involved I could be in the process: she drafted the initial design and then suggested ways to add onto it or change it if I was interested; she emailed me links to specific glass types and colors so selecting the look of the piece was easy and totally up to me; and she sent me email updates including digital pictures of the garden as she cut, placed, foiled and finished all the little parts that were becoming my own piece of stained glass art. Since the day I put my stained glass garden on display in my living room I’ve been deluged with ideas for my next piece and my piece after that and after that. Jennifer’s art is so lovely it’s addictive, and I’m proud of the fact that nobody in the world will ever own a piece of art like the one she made for me. It’s a complete original.”
